PROGRAM OVERVIEW

ASTRA Futsal is offering players an international futsal development experience in Spain through our partnership with CE Mataró Futsal. This 10-day experience gives players the opportunity to train in a Spanish futsal environment, compete against local clubs in the Barcelona area, experience professional futsal, and explore the culture of Spain. The program is designed to combine high-level player development with competition and an unforgettable international team experience.

U14 Boys (2013/2014 born)

U14 Girls (2013/2014 born)

U16 Boys (2011/2012 born)

U16 Girls (2011/2012 born)

Players will travel as part of ASTRA Futsal teams and take part in training and competition appropriate to their age and level.

FUTSAL DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE

  • 5 Days of Training in Mataró

  • Players will complete five days of futsal training in Mataró, experiencing the training environment and methodology associated with CE Mataró Futsal.

  • Games vs. Local Competition. ASTRA teams will play exhibition games against local futsal competition from the Barcelona area, giving players the opportunity to experience a different style, tempo, and futsal culture.

CE MATARÓ FUTSAL PARTNERSHIP

CE Mataró Futsal is an established Spanish futsal club with a player-development pathway from youth levels through senior teams. The ASTRA partnership provides our players with an opportunity to experience futsal in Spain and learn in an environment where the sport is deeply embedded in the local football culture.

TRIP EXPERIENCE INCLUDES

• 10-day trip to Spain

• 5 days of training in Mataró

• Training experience alongside / within the CE Mataró Futsal environment

• Exhibition games against local competition around Barcelona

• Professional futsal game to watch

• La Liga football game to watch (Match selection and availability will depend on the league schedule and ticket availability during the trip)

• Cultural and sightseeing experiences

• Team activities and opportunities to experience the Barcelona/Mataró area

APPROXIMATE COST

  • Approximately $3,500 CAD per player (flights included)

  • The final trip price and detailed inclusions will be confirmed as arrangements are finalized.

  • Families will receive additional information regarding payment schedules and trip logistics.

  • A $250 deposit is required in order to secure your spot (registration link below)

FUNDRAISING

Four fundraising opportunities will be available to participating players and families to help offset the cost of the Spain experience. Additional details and timelines for each fundraiser will be

provided to registered participants.
